Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County builds simple, decent, affordable homes in New Castle County.
Our efforts are currently focused in Wilmington and New Castle.
New Construction:

Description: Multiple townhomes in Wilmington. Work is in various stages that start in late Spring/ Summer.
NSP Homes:
The objectives of the New Castle County NSP are to purchase and rehabilitate homes and residential properties that are blighted or have been abandoned or foreclosed upon, in order to sell, rehab or redevelop such homes and properties for homeownership and/or rental opportunities. New Castle County hopes this program will provide significant movement towards the stabilization of neighborhoods greatly impacted by the foreclosure crisis. Green Building
Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County is a certified National Green Building Standard Gold Builder through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The National Green Building Standard establishes design and construction practices for residential projects in multi-family homes, new construction, residential homes. Green certified homes incorporate green practices in six categories: Lot & Site Development, Resource Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Homeowner Education. With over 12 projects certified Gold to date and growing, we constantly try to improve on being and building green.
