Patricia (pictured with her brother Jonathan Hood) and her young son are currently renting a home that needs new windows, insulation, and heating and plumbing repairs. Her undesirable living conditions combined with unaffordable traditional mortgage programs, led Patricia to Habitat. “This [program] gives me and my family an opportunity to own our own home and not be renters forever!,” Patricia said. She said her spirits are lifted as she prepares herself for the challenges that will be ahead of her.
