ReStore »
Your contributions are welcome . . . and needed. Donation to the ReStore are tax-deductible to the fullest extent alloted by law.  Donated items are re-sold inexpensively, with proceeds benefiting our affordable house building operations.

All donations must be screened first. Donations can be brought to the store during store hours, or you may call the store to schedule a pick-up.  We are typically booked 1-2 weeks out on pick-ups, so please plan ahead if you are working on a deadline.  Please be aware that we cannot accept mattresses, box-springs, clothing, weapons, or non-working tools and appliances.

Appliances

We accept most appliances and they should be less than 8 years old, clean, in 100% working order with no missing parts. Please include any owners' manuals if you have them, as they add value to your donation.  

Cabinets

We prefer kitchen cabinets as a complete set, but will take individual cabinets, depending on the type of cabinet and current inventory.  Whenever possible, cabinetry should include all hardware pieces and shelving.

Doors

We accept doors if they are in good, usable condition. They must not have holes, cracks, rot, etc.

Electronics

We accept TVs, DVD players, and VCRs in working condition and no more than ten years old.  Any other electronics (computer monitors, keyboards, printers, faxes, etc.) can be donated to Goodwill.  Goodwill resells electronic items in working condition and partners with Dell to recycle other electronics.

Fans

We accept fans if they are complete and in working condition only.

Hardware

We accept any nails, screws, complete door knobs & locksets with keys.

Lighting

We accept light fixtures in working condition, but currently do not need commercial lighting such as ballasts with pcb's.

Lumber • Plywood • Trim

We accept full sheets of plywood. We accept full lengths of lumber. We will accept trim in smaller pieces, but not less than 8 feet long. Please, no rot or nails sticking out of lumber.

Mirror • Glass

Mirror and glass is accepted if certain conditions apply. Please call prior to donating these items.

Paint

We will take full containers of latex paint purchased from a paint store. NO LEFTOVERS, remixed or base paint! We cannot take toxic, hazardous substances, (i.e. pesticides, powders, or other chemicals).

Plumblng • Sinks • Commodes

We accept sinks and vanities if they are in good condition and clean. We accept commodes only if they are in working condition and are the low flush (1.6 gallon) type. They must be very clean!! We will not take a dirty commode under any circumstance.

Tools

We accept all hand and power tools in working condition.

Windows • Screens

We accept a variety of windows.   All window glass must be intact, and must be thermopane (double-paned with a layer of gas).  If the window has been previously installed it must be in excellent condition.
