Crew Leader Training Habitat for Humanity offers a 4-week long "Rasie the Roof" Crew Leader Training to volunteers interested in committing to being more involved on a regulars basis on the job site. This 4 week long, 3 hour class is taught my Habitat Staff and skilled volunteers. In "Raise the Roof", you will learn: installing floor joists, decking, building walls, raising walls, shaftliner/firewall, and installing and window and door. Each class begins with 1 hour of classroom instruction and discussion followed by 2 hours of hands on instruction.
![]() ![]() ![]() A Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County (HFHNCC) Crew Leader is responsible for leading groups of volunteers, both individual and corporate, on the work site. Crew Leaders will assist with the safety briefing, provide daily task instruction to volunteers and work alongside other Crew Leaders and HFHNCC staff.
Available Trainings: *Trainees must commit to volunteering and acting as a Crew Leader once a month.

For Information: Lead Safety in Renovation and Repair On March 26th, Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County held it's first ever Lead Safety and Renovation and Repair Trainee Course at it's Habitat Office in Wilmington. With Tyvek suits and latex gloves on, trainees learned how to set up, contain, and clean "lead" from a mock house.
