Construction Manager

(Full-Time, Exempt)
40-hour work week; Tuesday through Saturday

Oversee the construction and completion of houses on schedule and budget by effectively working with Habitat staff, volunteer labor, prospective homeowners, and sub-contractors.

Represent, express, and support Habitat’s mission and vision. Habitat is first a ministry, and second, a construction company, bank, and social service.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Minimum five years experience and extensive knowledge in all aspects of residential construction including reading and understanding construction drawings, code requirements, scheduling contractors, scheduling required inspections through certificate of occupancy.
  • Experience and ability to supervise multiple work sites.
  • Strong organizational and advanced planning skills. Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office, and email.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.

Neighborhood Revitalization Coordinator

(Full-time, Non-Exempt)

Oversee the completion of Rock the Block projects, on schedule and on budget, by effectively managing and working with Habitat staff, volunteer labor, community members, and sub-contractors.

Represent, express, and support Habitat’s mission and vision. Habitat is first a ministry, and second, a construction company, bank, and social service.

REPORTS TO:  Neighborhood Revitalization Program Manager

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Minimum five years of work experience.
  • Experience working as a community organizer
  • Good with people, good communicator.
  • Administrative and organizational aptitude.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (excel, word, power-point), email, Zoom, and Survey Monkey.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.

Volunteer Coordinator

(Full-Time, Exempt)

Recruit and cultivate our volunteer resources through communication, and training in order to create a volunteer base that supports the overall goals of the organization, including construction, the ReStores and the operating committees.
Represent, express and support Habitat’s mission and vision. Habitat is first a ministry, and second, a construction company, bank and social service.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Good people, organizational, and communication skills.
  • An ability to listen to volunteers and address their needs within the scope of the organization.
  • An ability to inspire, train, motivate, and challenge volunteers.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision – self-motivated and confident.
  • Computer knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, VolHub/Volunteer Local or similar volunteer scheduling program, DonorPerfect, or similar database programs.
