At Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, we are committed to keeping your information private. We recognize the importance that applicants, program families, homeowners, volunteers and donors place on the privacy and confidentiality of their information. While new technologies allow us to more efficiently serve our customers, we are committed to maintaining privacy standards that are synonymous with our established and trusted name.
When collecting, storing and retrieving applicant, program family, homeowner, volunteer and donor data – such as tax returns, pay stubs, credit reports, employment verification, payment or donation history – internal controls are maintained throughout the process to ensure security and confidentiality.
Your Information Remains Confidential
Habitat Philadelphia is committed to honoring the privacy of its supporters at all times. We will not sell, trade, rent or share your personal information with anyone else, nor will we send mailings on behalf of other organizations.
Habitat Philadelphia collects and maintains personal information that is specifically and knowledgeably provided to us by individuals or their companies. We will only share personally identifiable information with a third party if (i) we are required by law (ii) it is necessary for completing an authorized operation, for instance to process a credit card transaction, or (iii) if the person submitting the information asks that it be shared.
Our web server automatically recognizes each visitor’s domain name, but does not automatically collect personally identifiable information. There are times, however, such as when you contact us or otherwise register for an event, that we will collect specific information. If you choose to provide personally identifiable data, you may receive future information from us—by mail, electronically or by telephone—advising you of upcoming Habitat Philadelphia events, services, or volunteer and support opportunities. Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County employees and volunteers are subject to a written policy regarding confidentiality, and access to applicant and donor data is restricted to staff and volunteers on an as-needed basis. Information is used for lawful business purposes and is never shared with third parties without your consent, except as permitted by law. As permitted by law, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following types of third parties:

How we use the information
When you give us information about yourself, you may be placed on our mailing list. Donor Refund Policy
If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, Inc, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation.
To request a refund, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
