Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County Breaks Ground on Sankofa Place: Five New Affordable Homes in Southbridge
Wilmington, DE – February 11, 2025 – Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County (Habitat NCC) is excited to announce the groundbreaking of Sankofa Place, a new development bringing five affordable, net-zero, energy-efficient homes to the historic Southbridge neighborhood of Wilmington. This milestone is made possible through the support of key funding partners, including Congressional Directed Spending, City of Wilmington ARPA funds, Energize Delaware/New Ecology, Trinity Presbyterian Church, DSHA’s Catalyst Fund, and City of Wilmington HOME funds.
