The Sunday Breakfast Mission and Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County are creating new housing opportunities for the formerly homeless, as well as interns. Over a period of a year or two, graduates of SBM’s New Life Discipleship Program are able to stay right near the facility and accomplish goals such as finishing school, getting married, or buying a home.
Sunday Breakfast Mission President and Senior Pastor Rev. Tom Laymon said its interns would be prepared to take their experience and knowledge to work at another rescue mission, be it nearby or elsewhere in the United States.
“Sunday Breakfast Mission is not just thinking about here, but we’re making Wilmington and Sunday Breakfast Mission the center of doing these kinds of things around the nation,” Laymon said.
