What can you bring? Great question! Generally, our ReStores accept new and gently used: appliances, home furniture and décor, and building materials in good, working condition – but there are some limitations.

Items we accept

  • Donated items should be clean, free of stains, tears, pet hair and in good, working order
  • Housewares and art work
  • Doors
  • Furniture
  • Tile
  • We prefer complete kitchen cabinet sets, but may accept individual cabinets with all parts included
  • Appliances and electronics (should be less than 10 years old)
  • Light fixtures
  • Framed mirrors
  • Vanities, kitchen sinks, and toilets (must be low flush type); and dishwashers along with the plumbing fittings that lead to these items that must be manufactured after 2012
  • Hand and power tools
  • Thermopane windows with glass & frame intact
 

Items we do not accept

Among the items that HFHNCC’s ReStore locations do not accept are:

-Furniture that has rips, tears, stains, odors, or pet hair;

-clothes & shoes;

-Unframed Glass/Mirrors;

-Bedding;

-Floral print sofas;

-Appliances older than 15 years;

-Medical equipment;

-Pianos/organs;

-Any Liquids, Paint, Pesticides, chemicals of any kind;

-Lumber less than 4 feet in length or with nails or holes;

-Anything with mold;

-Fluorescent Lights or Fluorescents bulbs or Fluorescents Fixtures;

-Used bathtubs.
